stamped

CDs. As

a

result,

CDs

created

by

this

drive

are

compatible

 

with MR (Multi-Read)

CD-ROM

and

DVD-ROM

drives

that

can

 

 

 

read

CD-RW

discs

and

other

media

types,

and

with

older

non-MR

CD-ROM

drives

 

 

 

that

can

read

 

only

 

CD-R and CD-ROM

The

drive

writes

to

CD-RW

CD-R

discs

at

different

speeds.

The

drive

can

write

to

a

CD-RW

 

disc

at

times

the standard CD-ROM

speed,

recording

second.

At

this

rate,

the

drive

can

record

approximately

650
