you

read

from a

CD-RW

disc

in

the

writing

drive, but not

in

another Multi-Read drive, be

sure

that a

UDF

Reader

program

is

installed

in

the

system.

4. Verify

that you are not attempting

to

write

the

disc

under

extreme

environmental

conditions

such

as the

following:

low

temperature

(5°C/41°F

or

below)

high temperature (45°C/113°F or above)

excessive shock (>0.5 G)

excessive

vibration

(>0.1

G)

Also,

try

to

avoid

writing

at

the

slower

1X

speed

unless

required

by

your

computer

system.

Click System .

Click

the

Device

Manager

tab.

Double-click

View Devices

by

Type .

a.

Click

Hard

Disk

Controllers

on

the

Device

Manager

list.

Make

sure

that

there

are

no

conflicts

with

the

controller.

Be

sure

that the device status indicates

that

the

controller

is

working

properly.

Select

CD-ROM

from

the

Device

Manager list.

Verify

that

there

is a CD-ROM device

and

that

no

conflicts

exist. The

device

status will indicate that the

device

is

working

properly.

6.

Click OK .

7.

Restart the computer.

You

cannot

access

the

CD-ReWritable

drive

or

the

CD-ROM

icon

If

the device

icon

is still

not

present,

check cable connections, device

does

not

display

(Windows

98

or

95).

and

resolve

any

existing

conflicts.

If

the

CD-ReWritable

drive

has

been

properly

installed,

there

will

be

a

CD-ROM

icon

in

the

My

Computer

window.

If you double-click the

My

Computer

icon

and

there

is

no

CD-ROM

present

in

the

displayed

window,

make

sure

that

the

drive

has

been

properly

installed,

and

that

the

configuration

jumper

has

been

correctly

set. For

page 1-4. Next,

restart

your system. If

a

drive

icon

is

still

not

found,

continue

with

the

following

steps.

Start

,

and

select

Settings.

The

Settings

window

will

open.
