This panel allows you to configure parameters for Ethernet, token-ring and WAN
logical ports. An example of this panel for an Ethernet port is shown in
Figure 149.

This panel allows you to enter/display the following parameters:

Attached Physical Port

This is a read-only parameter and identifies the physical port to which this
entry applies.
In the case of LAN logical ports, they will be created automatically and will
be attached to a physical port with the same port ID. For example, logical
port 1 will be attached to physical port 1, etc.

Channel

This parameter does not apply to LAN ports.

Logical Port Name

This parameter can be used to configure a unique name for the selected
logical port.

Admin Status

This parameter shows the desired status of the logical port.

Up

means that
the port is configured and can receive or transmit frames. When the status
is

Down

, the port is configured but cannot send or receive frames.

Partner Type

This parameter specifies the type of partner that this logical port is
connected to. On LAN ports, this parameter is set to

other

and cannot be
changed.
