REPLACING ARMREST PADS (FIGURE 17)

1.Remove the phillips screws that secure the arm- rest pad to the armrest assembly.

2.Replace armrest pad and securely tighten with the existing phillips screws.

REPOSITIONING THE CONVENTIONAL ARMS

NOTE: Conventional arms can only be repositioned on medium and long frame wheelchairs. There is only one (1) position for conventional arms on short frame wheelchairs.

Rear Arm Sockets (FIGURE 18)

1.Determine the necessary rear arm socket position for the necessary seat depth. Refer to CHANGING SEAT DEPTHS in PROCEDURE 10 of this manual.

2.Remove the hex bolt, washer and locknut that se- cure the rear arm socket, nylon shim and rear arm socket mount to the wheelchair frame.

3.Move the rear arm socket, nylon shim and rear arm socket mount to the position determined in STEP 1.

4.Reinstall the rear arm socket, nylon shim and rear arm socket mount onto the wheelchair with the hex bolt, washer and locknut. Refer to FIGURE 13 for correct orientation.

5.Repeat STEPS 1-4for the opposite side of the wheel- chair.

Front Arm Sockets (FIGURE 19)

1.Determine the necessary front arm socket and seat guide position for the necessary seat depth. Refer to CHANGING SEAT DEPTHS in PROCEDURE 10 of this manual.

2.Remove the socket bolts and locknuts that secure the front arm socket and seat guide to the wheel- chair.

3.Move the front arm socket and seat guide to the position determined in STEP 1.

4.Resecure the front arm socket and seat guide to the wheelchair with the socket bolts and locknuts.

5.Repeat STEPS 1-4for the opposite side of the wheel- chair.
