Dubbing A Part Of A Cassette

You can dub the selected scenes on a tape to the DVD disc,

starting and stopping wherever you wish.

1For DVD deck

Load a recordable disc.

For VHS deck

Load a cassette you want to dub.

2Press VHS] to select the dubbing direction.

●“]” lights up on the unit.

3Set “VHS]DVD DUBBING” to “1 PROG”. (墌pg.81)

4Prepare the VHS deck for dubbing.

APress VHS/DVD on the unit repeatedly or VHS on the remote

control so that the VHS lamp lights up on the unit.

BLocate the point from where you want to start dubbing, then

pause playback.

●During still picture on the VHS deck, the images may jitter, but this is

not a malfunction.

5Prepare the DVD deck for dubbing.

APress VHS/DVD on the unit repeatedly or DVD on the remote

control so that the DVD lamp lights up on the unit.

BPress REC MODE repeatedly to set the recording mode.

CPress and hold 7, then press 9 so that the DVD deck enters

the Record Pause mode.

6Press and hold DUBBING for more than 3 seconds to start

dubbing.

7Press 8 to stop recording on the DVD deck. Then press VHS,

and press 8 to stop playback on the VHS deck.

●After dubbing is completed, press VHS] so that “]” lights off. If it is

not done, recording on the DVD deck is not possible.

NOTES:

●It is not possible to dub a tape with a copy protection signal.

●If there is no remaining recording time left on a DVD disc, the tape

automatically stops at that position.

●During Manual Dubbing, if either the VHS deck or DVD deck is

stopped, the other deck is not stopped automatically.

●It is not possible to perform other operations like Live Memory

Playback. Check the recorded programme on the disc after dubbing.

Manual Dubbing (From VHS To DVD)

●Turn on the unit.

●Turn on the TV and select the AV mode.

●Slide the TV/DVD switch to DVD.

●Make sure that both the DVD deck and the VHS deck are in the

stop mode.
