2 Tool

ÎUnscrew the nut in the clockwise direc- tion using the enclosed tool.

ÎRemove the washer.

ÎPlace the pad on the centre of the driving plate and press it slightly.

ÎInstall the washer.

ÎScrew the nut in the anti-clockwise direc- tion and tighten it using the enclosed tool.

ÎRemove the tool.

ÎTilt the appliance forward.

Operation

￿Danger

Risk of injury on account of the rotating pad. Do not bring your hands and feet anywhere close to the rotating pads.

Adjust handle

ÎPull the lever for level adjustment.

ÎTilt the handle into a comfortable posi- tion.

ÎRelease the lever for level adjustment.

Transport

ÎPark the handle in vertical position.

ÎTilt the appliance backwards and drive it to the place of use.

Turning on the Appliance

￿Warning

Risk of damage to the floor covering. Do not operate the appliance on the spot.

Do not use the appliance when no pad is mounted.

ÎSwivel bottom cable hook upward and remove the cable completely from the appliance.

ÎInsert the mains plug into a socket.

The indicator lamp "main power" will illu- minate.

ÎSet handle to working height.

Note

The appliance cannot be switched on while the handle is in the upright position.

ÎHold the handle with both hands.

ÎPress the left or right release and hold it.

ÎPress the switch on the same side - the appliance starts.

ÎRelease unlocking mechanism.

ÎMove the appliance forward and back- ward over the surface to be processed.

ÎRelease the switch to interrupt opera- tion.

Shutting down

ÎRelease the switch.

ÎDisconnect the mains plug from the socket.

ÎPull the lever for level adjustment and bring the handle in a vertical position.

ÎSwivel the cable hook toward the bottom and wind the cable between the handle and the cable hook.

ÎTilt the appliance backward and store it on the handle.

ÎRemove the pad.

ÎTilt the appliance forward.

ÎClean the casing with a damp cloth.

ÎStore the appliance in a dry room.
