Rapid heat-up

With the following programmes:

Fan Heat D

Auto Roast E

Conventional A

either the top element or the fan element will come on during the heating up phase to enable the oven to reach the required temperature as quickly as possible.

Food which browns quickly should not be placed at the top of the oven when rapid heat up is being used.

The symbol U in the top line of the display indicates that Rapid heat-up is switched on.

The p symbol will appear in the display for all programmes which do not have rapid heat-up.

To switch off "rapid heat-up"

Rapid heat-up should not be used for some items such as pizza, biscuits and small cakes because they will brown too quickly from the top.

To switch it off:

^Call up the U symbol.

^Reduce the temperature to 100 °C.

The arrow next to the p symbol will go out.

^Re-set the temperature to the setting you want.

"Rapid heat-up" is now switched off for this particular cooking process.

"Rapid heat-up" is available for the next programme once the oven function selector has been turned to "0" at the end of the programme.
