To optically brighten or darken projected images (IRIS):

IRIS is a function that controls the lamp light by opening or closing the iris to optically adjust the contrast. This projector is equipped with IRIS which automatically controls the iris according to the images to be projected.

IRIS has four modes as follows.

AUTO 1

When there are white images in an entirely dark scene, black is automatically deepened.

AUTO 2

In comparison with AUTO 1, black is made lighter automatically.

AUTO 3

This mode provides deeper blacks than the other modes.

OFF

The IRIS is kept fully opened.

To change the IRIS mode:

With the remote control:

1.Press the IRIS button.

Every time the IRIS button is pressed, the IRIS mode changes from AUTO 1 to AUTO 2, AUTO 3, to OFF, and back to AUTO 1.

With the IMAGE menu:

1.Display the IMAGE menu.

3.Select your desired IRIS mode by pressing the t or u button.

To use BrilliantColor™:

You can enable or disable BrilliantColor™ using the menu.

1.Display the ADVANCED MENU from the IMAGE menu.

2.Select BrilliantColor™ by pressing the p or q button.

3.Select ON or OFF by pressing the t or u button.

To cancel the menu:

ON

Even in a bright home theater environment, you can view crisp and sharp images. Select ON when you want to view bright images such as when viewing 3D images.

OFF

BrilliantColor™ is disabled and the middle tone is adjusted to natural brightness.
