MOTOtalkTM

Note: This feature may not be offered by your service provider.

With MOTOtalk, you can make and receive 2-way radio calls without network coverage. If you are travelling outside your service provider's coverage area, receiving a poor signal, or otherwise want to temporarily avoid using your service provider's network, you can switch to MOTOtalk and talk with anyone on your code and channel who is within range.

Note: Range will vary based on terrain, man-made structures, and atmospheric conditions.

MOTOtalk lets you:

Use code or private mode operation

Use up to 10 channels

Communicate with standalone MOTOtalk radios

Note: You cannot use MOTOtalk with older Family Radio Services products.

The following features and main menu items are unavailable while in MOTOtalk:

On-network phone calls

On-network Private calls

Data transmission

Incoming message notification

Musical ring tones

Call forwarding

Messages

Call Timers

Call alerts

Voice records

Switching to MOTOtalk

To set your phone to MOTOtalk:

1From the main menu, scroll to MOTOtalk and press O.

2Select Go to MOTOtalk.

Switching to MOTOtalk Please Wait displays.

After a few seconds, the MOTOtalk idle screen displays. When MT Ready displays, you can begin using MOTOtalk.

While in MOTOtalk, this icon M displays.

Exiting MOTOtalk

To switch to network mode:

1 From the MOTOtalk idle screen, press m.
