Making Code Calls

To make a code call:

1From the MOTOtalk idle screen or the channel and code edit screen, press and hold the PTT button. Transmit appears on the first line of display. Begin speaking after your phone emits the MOTOtalk tone.

Note: The MOTOtalk tone consists of 4 rapid beeps.

2Release the PTT button to listen.

If you receive an error message:

No one is on your channel or code.

You are out of range.

Receiving Code Calls

When you receive a code call, Receive will appear on the display. After hearing the MOTOtalk tone, you have 6 seconds to reply before the call times out.

To reply to the call, press the PTT button.

Note: An incoming MOTOtalk call can be terminated at any time by pressing e.

Channels and Codes

Receiving All MOTOtalk Calls

If you set the code to Receive All, your phone can receive MOTOtalk transmissions from any phone that is set to the same channel, regardless of the code (1-15). When you receive transmissions with the code set to Receive All, the code that the transmission was received on will replace Receive All on the display.

Note: You cannot initiate a code call when the code is set to Receive All.

To set the code to Receive All:

1From the MOTOtalk idle screen, press A under Edit.

2Scroll to Code.

3Press A under Edit.

4Select Receive All.

5When you are finished, press A under Back to return to the MOTOtalk idle screen.

To reply to a call with the code set to Receive All:

Press the PTT button.
