Troubleshooting
I pressed the
End/Power key,
but nothing
happened.
Be sure to press and hold O (the End/
Power key) until the display appears and
you hear an audible alert (this could
take a couple of seconds). If nothing
happens, check that a charged battery
is installed. (See “Charging the Battery”
on page 22.)
The display says:
Insert SIM Card
or Check SIM Card
even though I
have inserted my
SIM card in the
phone.
The SIM card may be incorrectly
inserted. Check the SIM card to make
sure that it is inserted properly. See
“Installing the SIM Card and Battery”
on page 19.
Note: Be sure to turn your phone off
and then back on after you re-insert the
SIM card.
The display says:
SIM Blocked. How
do I unblock my
SIM card?
Call your service provider (the company
that sends you your monthly wireless
service bill) to obtain the PIN
unblocking key (PUK) code. See
“Unblock the SIM Card PIN Code” on
page 165.
The display says:
Enter Unlock
Code. How do I
unlock my
phone?
Enter the factory-preset unlock code
(1234), or the last four digits of your
phone number. (See “Locking and
Unlocking Your Phone” on page 162.) If
this fails, call your service provider (the
company that sends you your monthly
wireless service bill).
