Upgrading MultiVOIP Firmware
Introduction
From time to time, a new version of the MVPFX2 firmware may be issued. When a new firmware version is issued, you can overwrite the MultiVOIP with the new code either by using a TFTP server or by using an FTP client and contacting the FTP server that resides on the MVPFX2 unit itself. It is also possible to update the firmware by a serial connection without FTP or TFTP, but that method of transfer is extremely slow. In the sections that follow, we present updating procedures using FTP (preferred) or TFTP.
Identifying Current Firmware Version
Use the System Information screen to identify the current version of firmware on the MultiVOIP unit.
Obviously, if you are considering upgrading the firmware, you want to be sure that the new firmware is indeed at a higher revision level than the firmware currently on your MultiVOIP.
