Using M (User Setting Mode)

Save the Settings in M

The frequently used settings for shooting can be changed and saved in M.

1 Rotate the mode dial to the desired exposure mode.

Rotate to j, k, l or m.

Settings can be saved even if rotated to M (the default settings of shooting mode j are saved when the camera is first purchased).

2Change to a frequently used setting.

3Press the dbutton.

The shooting menu is displayed.

Press the multi selector to select items and set functions on the menu (A12).

4Use the multi selector to choose Save user settings and press the kbutton.

Done screen is displayed, and the current settings are saved.

Shooting in M(User Setting) Mode

Rotate the mode dial to Mto retrieve the settings saved in Save user settings.

Frame the subject and shoot with these settings, or change the settings as required.

The setting combinations that are retrieved when the mode dial is rotated to M can be changed as many times as you want in Save user settings.
