Step 4 Viewing and Deleting Pictures

Viewing Pictures (Playback Mode)

Basic

Press the c(Playback) button.

The last picture shot is displayed in full- frame playback mode.

Press the multi selector Hor Jto view the previous image. Press Ior Kto view the next image. Continue holding down H, I, Jor Kto scroll quickly through pictures. Pictures can also be chosen by rotating the command dial.

Pictures may be briefly displayed at low resolution immediately after switching to the previous or next picture.

To return to shooting mode, press the cbutton again or press the shutter-release button or b(emovie-record) button.

and Playback: A (Auto)

Cis displayed when pictures stored in the internal memory are displayed. When a memory card is inserted, Cis not displayed and pictures stored on the memory card are displayed.

CWhen the Monitor Is Turned Off to Save Power

When the power-on lamp blinks, press the cbutton to turn on the monitor again (A199).

CPressing the cButton to Turn on the Camera

When the camera is off, holding down the cbutton turns on the camera in playback mode. The lens does not extend.

CViewing Pictures

Press the xbutton to switch between using the monitor and viewfinder display (A16).

Press the sbutton to switch between showing and hiding the photo information or shooting information that is displayed on the monitor (A17).

Pictures that were shot using face priority (A97) or pet detection (A59) will be rotated automatically when displayed in full-frame playback mode according to the orientation of the face (except for pictures shot when continuous (A76) or Exposure bracketing (A94) was set).

When images captured with the continuous shooting feature are displayed, each series of images is treated as a group, and only the group’s “key picture” is displayed (see “Playing Images Captured
