Recording Movies

HS Movie Options

Display the shooting screen MdMD (Movie menu) (A163) MHS movie options

Options can be selected for the movie that is shot when the movie mode switch is rotated to HS (high speed).

Option	Description
	1/8-speed slow motion movies with an aspect ratio of 4:3 are recorded.
k240 fps	• Maximum recording time*: 10 seconds (playback time: 1 minute
	20 seconds)
(default setting)
	• Image size: 320 × 240 pixels
	• Movie bitrate: 640 kbps
	1/4-speed slow motion movies with an aspect ratio of 4:3 are recorded.
h120 fps	• Maximum recording time*: 15 seconds (playback time: 1 minute)
	• Image size: 640 × 480 pixels
	• Movie bitrate: 3 Mbps
	1/2-speed slow motion movies with an aspect ratio of 16:9 are
	recorded.
i60 fps	• Maximum recording time*: 30 seconds (playback time: 1 minute)
	• Image size: 1280 × 720 pixels
	• Movie bitrate: 9 Mbps
	2× speed fast motion movies with an aspect ratio of 16:9 are recorded.
j15 fps	• Maximum recording time*: 2 minutes (playback time: 1 minute)
	• Image size: 1920 × 1080 pixels
	• Movie bitrate: 12 Mbps

* The maximum recording time refers only to the section shot for slow motion or speeded up playback.

Select whether or not to record slow motion or fast motion movies from the start of the movie recording when the movie mode switch is rotated to HS.

•On (default setting): HS movies are recorded when recording begins.

•Off: Normal speed movies are recorded when recording begins. Press the k button to switch to HS movie recording at the point where the camera should record for slow motion or fast motion playback.
