Autofocus Mode

Display the shooting screen MdMD (Movie menu) (A163) MAutofocus mode

Choose how the camera focuses when recording movies with the movie mode switch rotated to HD.

Option

Description

ASingle AF

Focus is locked when the b(emovie-record) button is pressed to

start recording. Select this option when the distance between the

(default setting)

camera and the subject will remain fairly consistent.

 

The camera focuses continuously during movie recording.

 

Select this option when the distance between the camera and subject

BFull-time AF

will change significantly during recording. Use of Single AF is

 

recommended to prevent the sound of the camera focusing from

 

interfering with recording.

 

 

CAutofocus Mode during Movie Shooting

When the scene mode is Fireworks show, the focus is fixed at infinity.

Set the focus mode to E(manual focus) and adjust the focus using manual focus (A42).
