Shooting Features

A(Auto) Mode

Shooting with basic camera operations is available. Set the options in the auto shooting menu (A36) according to the shooting conditions and the kind of images you want to capture.

The focus area differs depending on the setting of AF area mode (A37) that can be selected in the A tab after pressing the dbutton.

When AF area mode is set to Face priority (default setting), the camera focuses as follows:

-The camera detects and focuses on faces (see “Using Face Detection” (A75) for more information).

-If no faces are detected, the camera automatically selects the focus areas (up to nine) containing the subject closest to the camera. When the subject is in focus, the focus area (active focus area) lights in green (maximum of nine areas).
