Choosing a Flash Mode

Mode: A	Tap: W➜ C➜ Flash mode

The Setup Menu

Technical Notes

Choose a flash mode as follows:

1Tap Flash mode.

2Tap an option.

w	Auto	The flash fires automatically as required.
	(default)
y	Off	The flash does not fire.
m	Fill flash	The flash fires with every shot.

The flash indicator shows flash status when the shutter-release button is pressed halfway.

•On: The flash will fire when the picture is taken.

•Flashing: The flash is charging. No pictures can be taken.

•Off: The flash will not fire when the picture is taken.

To exit without changing settings, tap J.

The camera automatically selects the G scene mode (A12) when mFill flash is selected.

Choose a flash mode as follows:

1Tap Flash mode.

2Tap an option.

Fill flash

The flash fires with every shot.

•Off: The flash will not fire when the picture is taken.
