Connecting the DV-CP802

This chapter explains how to connect the DV-CP802 to your other AV components.

Before Making Any Connections

Read the manuals supplied with your AV components.

Don’t connect the power cord until you’ve completed all audio and video connections.

Optical Digital Output

The DV-CP802’s optical digital out- put socket has a dust cap for keeping out dust and dirt when it’s not in use. Remove the cap before inserting an optical plug, and push the plug in all the way to make a good connection. Keep the dust cap in a safe place for future use.

RCA AV Connection Color Coding

RCA-type AV connections are usually color coded: red, white, and yellow. Use red plugs to connect right-chan- nel audio inputs and outputs (typically labeled “R”). Use white plugs to connect left-channel audio inputs and out- puts (typically labeled “L”). And use yellow plugs to connect composite video inputs and outputs.
