Pressing DISPLAY on the main unit repeatedly toggles between two types of information display.

*If a given preset channel is not named, the unit displays “No Name,” then indicates the frequency. See “Naming an MD, and its tracks, and preset channels” on page 52.

Adjust the volume level. (Pressing VOLUME increases the volume level, and pressing VOLUME decreases the level.)

3Press TUNING or repeatedly while observ- ing the display to tune in the desired frequency. Each press of the button changes the frequency by 50kHz for FM and 9kHz for AM. Pressing and hold- ing down the button for more than one second will change the frequency continuously. While FM is selected, pressing and holding or down a while, then releasing it, will automatically raise (or lower) the frequency.
If FM reception is not good
When an FM stereo broadcast is being received, “ST” lights up on the display. However, if the signal is weak or too much noise interferes, it will not light up. In this case, press MODE to switch to monaural reception.
