Recording data from a connected external device to an MD
You can record data from an external device (that you have connected following the explanation on page 9) to an MD.

Insert an MD.
Be sure to insert a recordable MD with the
Press OTHER INPUTS repeatedly to select the desired external sound source.
Note
•If you have changed the title of the device, the new title appears (see page 65).
Press REC to set the recorder in recording standby mode.

When an MD is recorded up to its end, the MD automatically stops.
Numbering the desired song(s)
Press REC while recording the desired song. If you do not hold down REC long enough (four seconds or less), the song may not be numbered.
To pause recording
Press MD / . Press the button again to resume recording.
Stopping the MD
To cancel a recording in progress, press
MD .

◆Signal Synchro RecordingSignal Synchro Recording starts recording onto an MD when a signal is received from a source connected to the input jacks.
1Execute Steps 1 to 3 on the previous page. The MD is set to recording pause.
2Press REC.
“Signal Rec” appears in the display, then the MD switches to Signal Synchro Recording pause.
3Start playing the selected source.
When a sound signal is received from the source, the MD will automatically start recording.
(You do not need to press MD / to start record- ing in Step 5 on this page.)
