Turn MULTI JOG to select the character (or title when in Easy Title mode), then press it to enter.

Repeat this step for the next character. If you wish to change the type of char- acters, repeat Step 3, then proceed with this step.

If you entered the wrong character See “Correcting and erasing a character.”

To add a new character between characters

See “Inserting a character.”

Press MODE/YES after you enter all the characters.

To cancel the characters, press and hold EDIT/CLEAR/NO for more than two seconds.

Note

If you press and hold EDIT/CLEAR/NO on the unit for more than two seconds, the FR-N3X returs to the previous indication without erasing characters.

Inserting a character

If the unit is not in “Name In” mode, execute steps 1 and 2 in “Entering a name,” then follow the steps below.

1Press or repeatedly until the character following the desired point of insertion flashes.

2Turn MULTI JOG until “” appears, then press

MULTI JOG.

Correcting and erasing a character

If the unit is not in “Name In” mode, execute Steps 1 and 2 in “Entering a name,” then follow the steps below.

1Press or repeatedly until the character you wish to correct or erase flashes.

2When correcting

Enter the desired character (or title) following Steps 3 and 4 in “Entering a name” on the previ- ous page.

When erasing

Press EDIT/CLEAR/NO on the unit or CLEAR on the remote controller.

3Enter the desired character (or title) as per Steps 3 and 4 in “Entering a name.”

Erasing the name assigned to a preset channel

1Select AM or FM as the source.

2Turn MULTI JOG to select the preset channel name you wish to erase.

3Press EDIT/CLEAR/NO and turn MULTI JOG until “Name Erase?” appears in the display.

4Press MODE/YES.

“Complete” appears and the name is erased.
