Controlling iPod

By pressing the REMOTE MODE button that’s been programmed with the remote control code for your Dock, you can control your iPod in the Dock with the following buttons.

The [PORT] button is preprogrammed with the remote control code for controlling a Dock with Universal Port connector.

For details on entering a remote control code, see page 110.

When Using a Dock with Universal Port connector:

Connect the Dock to the UNIVERSAL PORT jack.

See the Dock’s instruction manual for more informa- tion.

You can control your iPod when “PORT” is selected as the input source.

aArrow [q]/[w] and ENTER buttons

Used to navigate menus and select items.

bPrevious [7] button

Restarts the current song. Press it again to select the previous song.

cFast Reverse [5] button

Press and hold to fast reverse.

dPause [3] button

Pauses playback. Press it again to start playback.

eREPEAT button

Used with the repeat function.

fDISPLAY button

Select Standard mode or Extended mode*1.

gMUTING button (58)

Mutes or unmutes the AV receiver.

hALBUM +/– button

Selects the next or previous album.

iVOL [q]/[w] button (56)

Adjusts the volume of the AV receiver.

jPLAYLIST [e]/[r] buttons

Selects the previous or next playlist on the iPod.

kRETURN button

Exits the menu or returns to the previous menu.

lPlay [1] button

Starts playback. If the component is off, it will turn on automatically.

mNext [6] button

Selects the next song.

nFast Forward [4] button

Press and hold to fast forward.

oStop [2] button

Stops playback and displays a menu.

pRANDOM button

Used with the shuffle function.

Standard mode

Nothing is displayed on your TV and you navigate and select your contents by using your iPod’s display. Only this mode can playback the video.

Extended mode

Playlists (artists, albums, songs, and so on) are displayed on your TV, and you can navigate and select your music while looking at your TV.

Notes:

In Extended mode, the playback will be continued even if the AV receiver is turned off.

In Extended mode, you cannot operate your iPod directly.

In Extended mode, it may take some time to acquire the contents.

In Extended mode, video contents can not display on your TV.
