S-Cmd 92 SELECT TYPE OF SYNTHESIZED RADIO (Continued)
PARAMETERS: Mode 10 = Generic Data Radio Connected to Pacific Research RBI-3: Uses the RBI-3 to interface with
a radio that supports Generic Data format. This format is similar to the Doug Hall RBI-1, but is
intended for other types of radios. Pacific Research offers a range of Vertex FTL Mobile radios
that conforms to this data format.
Mode 11 = Generic Data Radio Connected to VXR-5000 ACC Connector: This mode allows
connections of a radio that supports Generic Data format. This format is similar to the Doug
Hall RBI-1, but is intended for other types of radios. Pacific Research offers a range of Vertex
FTL Mobile radios that conforms to this data format.
DEFAULT: Mode 0 (None or Vertex Duplex depending on JP-11)
EXAMPLE: 92 1 Set mode for Vertex Simplex
S-Cmd 93 SET TX OFFSET and BAND LIMITS FOR SYNTHESIZED RADIO
This command is used to set the lower and upper band limit for the synthesized radio. TX offset can also be set. These values
are used in conjunction with S-Command 91 to establish limits to the frequency range of the synthesized radio.
SYNTAX: 93 [Limit] [Frequency]
READ BACK 93
STORAGE: RAM/EEPROM
PARAMETERS: Limit 0 = Low band limit, 1 = High band limit, 2 = Transmit offset.
Frequency limit = Up to 8 digits (999,999,99x), First digit of frequency is the 100's MHz digit and
trailing zeros are not required.
Frequency offset = Up to 4 digits (9,995), First digit of frequency is the 1's MHz digit and trailing
zeros are not required.
DEFAULT: Lower limit 0, Upper Limit = 99999999, TX offset 0
EXAMPLE: 93 0 450 Set lower limit to 450 MHz
93 1 480 Set upper limit to 480 MHz
93 2 5 Set TX offset to 5 MHz
S-Cmd 94 SET CHANNEL STEPS
This command is used to set the channel steps for frequency increment and decrement. See S-Command 95.
SYNTAX: 94 [Step]
READ BACK 94
STORAGE: RAM/EEPROM
PARAMETERS: Step 0 = 5 KHz, 1 = 10 KHz, 2 = 12.5 KHz, 3 = 15 KHz, 4 = 20 KHz, 5 = 25 KHz, 6 = 50 KHz
DEFAULT: 0 (5 KHz)
EXAMPLE: 94 5 Set channel steps to 2 5KHz
S-Cmd 95 CHANNEL INCREMENT/DECREMENT
