SET UP CTCSS/DCS DECODE
The RI-300 controller is equipped with six independent tone panels for six different internal functions. These tone panels will
be discussed in detail, later in the manual. The RPT-TS (Repeater Tone Panel) LED will show when the controller is decoding
a repeater CTCSS tone or DCS code, even though this current decode is not being used in the c ontroller’s operation. The SYS,
AUX, DTMF, DIAL CLICK and HOOK LEDs will flash at a rate of 4 times per second when these tone panel functions are
also decoding tones. These six tone panels have the following functions;
Tone panel #1: Repeater audio only. (RPT-TS LED)
Use S-Command 01 to enable this panel for use.
Tone panel #2: User commands Control. (Flashing DTMF LED)
This tone panel allows access of user commands.
Use S-Command 14 1 to enable this panel for use.
Tone panel #3: S-Commands and Programming. (Flashing SYSTEM LED)
This tone panel allows access to S-Commands and programming.
Use S-Command 14 2 to enable this panel for use.
Tone panel #4: Auxiliary output audio. (Flashing AUX LED)
Used when connecting two controllers are connected together for linking and remote base operation.
Use S-Command 34 to enable this panel for use.
Tone panel #5: Telephone audio and dial commands. (Flashing HOOK LED)
Used to access, dialing and pass audio to the telephone interconnect.
Use S-Command 72 to enable this panel for use. When setting up the telephone tone panel, include the same
tones/code in the repeater and user command tone panels.
Tone panel #6: Dial Click. (Flashing DIAL CLICK LED)
Used for dial click commands, see S-Command 49 for more information.
The controller comes programmed with 100 Hz CTCSS tone, ready for use in all 6-tone panels. Before the controller will use
this tone for operation, you must enable each of the functions associated with each tone panel.

3. S-Command S-Command 14 2
4. Auxiliary S-Command 34

The following example assumes that
you want to disable 100.0 Hz and
enable 127.3 Hz for all tone panels.
See section 12 S-Command 20 for
more details and your specific tone
number.
You can also use the programming
