SET CTCSS/DCS ENCODE
The RI-300 controller comes pre-programmed with CTCSS/DCS regenerate mode on. This means that when an enabled
repeater CTCSS tone or DCS code is decoded, the same tone or code is re-encoded on the repeater output. If you need to turn
off the encoder, or if you want to encode only one tone at all times, you will need to change the mode of S-Command 22.
See section 12 S-Command 22 for more details.
YOUR CONTROLLER SERIAL NUMBER
On the backside of the PC Board or mounting panel, you will find a label with your controller serial number. It is important to
make note of this number in a safe place. Use the space provided in this section to make note of the serial number. This
number can be used with S-Command 58 to remotely reset the controller (same as cycling the power to the controller) or with
S-Command 59 to remotely re-initialize the memory.

CHANGING YOUR PASSWORD
The controller comes pre-programmed with “123456” as the password to access the System Command (S-Command) mode.
You can select a new 1 to 6-digit password. You can use any of the DTMF characters in your password except for “C”. Do not
use “C” in your password. To reduce additional problems, compare your
new password with the system commands to make sure it does not look like
a system command. Example, do not use “010” as the password. If you are
in the S-Command mode and accidentally send this password, you will turn
off the system instead! Oops!!
You can also use the programming software to edit this message. Pick
“Repeater” then pick “Passwords and Key code”. You may then edit the
“S-Command access” from this dialog box.
