Using this unit with other

equipment

It is possible to enjoy the video and audio of this unit on the TV
and am pli f ie r , or to en jo y the vi de o fro m ot her vi de o de vic es on
the LCD sc reen of this unit.
≥Turn off all equipment before connecting and read the
appr o pria te ope rating ins tr uc tion s.
≥Do not connect video signals through a video r ecorder. D ue
to cop y gu ar d protecti o n th e pictur e ma y no t be di sp laye d
properly.
It is poss ibl e to enjoy the high qua lity vide o and au dio of this
unit on the large screen by connecting this unit with the TV
using a si ngle cabl e.
≥Linked operation is possible by connecting to a
Panasonic TV (VIERA) or amplifier that is compatible with
the VIERA Link (HDMI) function. (>26)
Preparation
Connect the devices to the unit.
You can enjoy the high quality surround audio in Dolby Digital
Plus, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD by connecting this unit to the
HDMI compatible multi-channel amplifier. (>37) (O nly when
connected to an amplifier compatible with each audio)
1Turn on the power of the connected device

(TV, etc.), and switch the input.

Exampl e: Set the input to “HDMI” or simi lar (t he name of
input may be diff erent depend ing on the connected
device).
2Start playb ack on this unit.
Video and au dio are output from the connected device.
≥The quality of video will lower on the screen of this unit when
HDMI is c onnected, but it is not a malfun ction.
Preparation
Connect a TV or a pr oje c tor to this un it.

1Turn on the power of the connected device,

and switch the input.

Example: Set the input to “Video 2” or similar (the name of
input may be different depending on the connected device).
2Start playb ack on this unit.
Preparation
Connect the video device to this uni t.

Press [A V S ELE C T ] to switch to “AUX”.

≥Operate pla yback using the connected equi pment. (Please
read the operating ins tructions for the connected eq uipment)

The unit doe s not turn off automatically even when “Auto Powe r Off” is
set to “On” (

≥Audio/Video cable (included) is designed only for use with
this un it. Video and audi o may no t play back correctly if it is
us ed with other equipment.
≥If you raise the volume on the television while playing this
unit, the volume may abruptly bec ome ve ry loud when you
switch to a television broadcast. Return the volume to its
normal level before changing.

Connection with the HDMI cable

≥Non-HDMI-compliant cables cannot be utilized.

y ou use Panasonic’s HDMI ca bl e . When output ting
1080/ 24 p sign a l (>34, “HDMI Resolution”), please use
HDMI cables 5.0 meters (16.4 ft.) or less.
