In most cases, default settings can normally be use d
without making any changes.
Set the IP address only when the router has no DHCP
serve r func tions or whe n the r outers DHCP server
function is disabled.
After per forming steps 1 – 3 (>28)

Configuration (DHCP)” and press [2,1] to
select “Off”.

When “Off” is selected, “DNS Auto Configuration
(DHCP)” (>below) is also automatically “Off”.

“Subnet Mask” or “Default Gateway” and

After checking the specification s for your broad band router,
enter each number. If the number is unknown, then check the
num ber of other devices such as personal com puters connected
via a LAN cable. Assign a differen t number from those of other
devices for the “IP Address” a nd th e sam e number for others.
The numeric input range is between 0 and 255.
In most cases, default settings can normally be use d

When setting an assigne d DNS server from your Internet
serv ic e prov ide r, perform the fol lowin g set tings.

“Seco nd ary DNS”a nd press [OK].

connection speed.
Selec t a connec tio n speed in accordance with the
environment of the network connected.
When the set ting s are changed, the network conn ecti on may
be slower o r dis abled depending on th e device.
Always test the connection when new “Proxy Server Settings”
have been made.
