2 (When playing back scenes or still pictures on the 3D compatible television compatible to the frame sequential format)

Connect this unit to the 3D compatible television using an HDMI mini cable (optional). (l 108)

The scene recorded in AVCHD 3D is played back in 3D full high-definition image.

The side-by-side format 3D image is played back when the component terminal plug of the AV multi cable is connected to the component terminal of the 3D compatible television, [AV MULTI] (l 111) is set to [COMPONENT] and [COMPONENT OUT] (l 111) is set to [1080i].

3 (When playing back scenes or still pictures on the 3D compatible television compatible to the side-by-side format)

Connect this unit to the 3D compatible television using an HDMI mini cable (optional) or an AV multi cable (supplied). (l 108)

When connecting with an AV multi cable, set [AV MULTI] (l 111) to [COMPONENT] and set [COMPONENT OUT] (l 111) to [1080i] and connect the component terminal plug to the component terminal on the TV.

4 Play back scenes or still pictures recorded in 3D.

Playback switches between 3D image and 2D image automatically.

If your television does not switch to a 3D image, make the necessary settings on the TV. (For further details, please read the operating instructions for the TV.)

Set to [2D] when using a television that is not 3D compatible.

If you feel tired, uncomfortable or otherwise strange when viewing scenes recorded in 3D, set to [2D].

The recording screen for 3D Recording Mode can be displayed in 3D on a

3D-compatible TV when the 3D Conversion Lens (optional) is attached to this unit.

You cannot play back 3D image on the LCD monitor of the unit. When you play back scenes recorded in 3D on the LCD monitor, they will be played back in 2D.

It will be played back in 2D display for following cases:

jConnect the AV multi cable to the video terminal of the TV

jWhen [COMPONENT OUT] is set to [480i] and the AV multi cable is connected to the component terminal of the TV

When you play back scenes successively, a black screen will appear for a few seconds between scenes recorded in 3D and scenes recorded in 2D.

When you select a 3D thumbnail, it may take a few seconds for playback to start. After playback, the thumbnail display may take a few seconds to reappear.

It will play back in 2 screens when connected to the TV not compatible with 3D using an AV multi cable (supplied).

Depending on the 3D-compatible television used, switching to 3D mode may be slow and you may not be able to watch the first scene. In this case, use the pause button.

When viewing 3D image, your eyes may become tired if you are too close to the television screen.
