What you can do with a PC

HD Writer AE 4.1

You can copy the motion/still picture data to the HDD of PCs or write to media like Blu-ray discs, DVD discs or SD cards using HD Writer AE 4.1, the software installed in the supplied CD-ROM.

Refer to the operating instructions of HD Writer AE 4.1 (PDF file) for details on how to use it.

∫Smart Wizard

The Smart Wizard Screen is automatically displayed when you connect this unit to a PC with HD Writer AE 4.1 installed. (l 142)

Copy to PC:

You can copy motion/still picture data to the HDD of PCs.

Copy to disc:

You can copy to disc in high-definition picture quality or conventional standard picture quality (MPEG2 format).

≥Select the function you wish to use and follow the on-screen instructions for easy copying.

What can be done with the HD Writer AE 4.1	Data type
Copying data to a PC:
≥ Scenes recorded in 3D will be copied unaltered as 3D motion pictures.
≥ 3D still pictures and 2D still pictures are copied for the 3D still pictures.	Motion
Copying in Blu-ray disc or AVCHD format:
	picture and
≥ The scenes recorded in 3D, 1080/60p can be copied as 3D image,	still picture
1080/60p. (l 137: Important Notice)
≥ iFrame scenes and scenes saved in MP4 cannot be copied to Blu-ray disc
or AVCHD format.
Copying in DVD-Video format:
≥ Converted to conventional standard quality (MPEG2 format).
≥ Scenes recorded in 3D will be converted to 2D image when copied.
Editing:
Editing motion picture data copied on an HDD of a PC	Motion
≥ Dividing, Trimming, Still picture, Title, Effect, Transition, BGM, Delete partially

≥ Converting the motion picture data to MPEG2
