Setting the FAX ONLY mode ring count

This setting determines the number of rings before the unit answers a call in the FAX ONLY mode. You can choose from 1 to 5 rings. If you use the unit with an answering machine, select “5 EXT.TAM” (see pages 60 to 63).

Helpful hints:

●To answer a call before the unit does, increase the number of rings.

●If you have difficulty receiving faxes, the other parties may have tried to send faxes before confirming if your unit answered. Decrease the number of rings.
