5.6Confirmation of private IP address

Private IP address is the network ID which is not used on the Internet. It is classified into Class A, Class B and Class C shown in the following table. Please set the IP address in the range of the number specified in the class meeting to your local network scale.

1.Click [Start] [Program] [MS-DOS Prompt] MS-DOS Prompt window opens (Windows 98).

These steps are slightly different depending on the OS.

2.Enter ipconfig /all Push [Enter]. Subnet Mask and IP addresses of the PC, Default Gateway and DNS Servers appear on the window.
