Connecting the KX-HGW600 to a modem

To access the Internet using a CATV/xDSL/optical cable modem, follow the steps below.

1.Connect the Ethernet cable (with 8-pin RJ-45 connector) to the Ethernet jack of the modem.

2.Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the WAN jack of the KX-HGW600.

Note

Some modems may have a polarity switch or need category 5 cross cable instead of category 5 straight cable. Please refer to the modem’s manual for more information.
