Caution:
LTo avoid permanent damage, do not use a microwave oven to speed up the drying process.
Registering a handset to a base unit
The supplied handset and base unit are pre-registered. If for some reason the handset is not registered
to the base unit, register the handset.
1Base unit:
Press and hold {LOCATOR} for about 5 seconds until L flashes.
LIf the registered handset starts ringing, press the same button to stop. Then repeat this step.
LThe next step must be completed within 3 minutes.
2Handset:
! i {#}{1}{2}{3} i M
3Press {2} to select Register HS.
LA long beep sounds from the handset.
LL disappears from the base unit.
Deregistering a handset
A handset can cancel its own registration that is stored in the base unit. This allows the handset to end
its wireless connection with the system.
Important:
LIf you do not use the handset after canceling registration, remove the batteries.
LIf you cancel the handset registration of the extension number 1, the date and time are not backed up
during a power failure.

2Press {1} to select Cancel HS.
3Select the handset you want to cancel by pressing the desired handset number.
4Remove the batteries from the deregistered handset.
Problem Cause/solution
Liquid or other form of
moisture has entered the
handset/base unit.
LDisconnect the AC adaptor and telephone line cord from the base
unit. Remove the batteries from the handset and leave to dry for at
least 3 days. After the handset/base unit are completely dry,
reconnect the AC adaptor and telephone line cord. Insert the
batteries and charge fully before use. If the unit does not work
properly, contact an authorized service center.
