This section explains the main messages appearing on the LCD monitor and how to deal with them.

Message

PLEASE CONNECT AC ADAPTOR

ERROR OCCURRED. PLEASE TURN UNIT OFF, THEN TURN ON AGAIN.

DISCONNECT USB CABLE.

CANNOT OPERATE WHILE CONNECTED TO COMPUTER.

CARD ERROR HAS OCCURRED.

TO REPAIR THE CARD, PLEASE CONNECT AC ADAPTOR OR CHANGE BATTERY.

NOW REPAIRING DATA.

DO NOT REMOVE CARD.

CANNOT CHECK CONNECTED DEVICE. DISCONNECT THE USB CABLE FROM THIS UNIT.

What to check

You tried connecting the unit to a computer without connecting the AC adaptor.

The unit detected an error. Eject the SD card and shut power off and turn back on.

The unit is not properly connected to a computer or printer.

Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable.

Power to the unit cannot be shut off while it is connected to a computer.

Disconnect USB cable.

The data on the SD card contains errors.

To repair the data, either use a battery of sufficient life or connect the AC adaptor. Depending on the error, it may take time to repair the data.

The data has been repaired.

●Depending on the situation, the data may not be completely repaired.

●If power is shut off without repairing data, data can be repaired the next time that power is turned on.

●If repairing fails, the data cannot be played back.

Format the SD card with this unit.

●Do not repair SD cards recorded on other devices on this unit.

A device that cannot be used with this unit is connected to the unit.

ENVIRONMENT TOO DARK, OR LENS COVER CLOSED.

●Before recording, open the lens cover.

●This message may appear if you try to record in an extremely dark place

●After the power is turned on, the message is displayed when the initial recording mode is established, but it is not displayed when manual recording is performed.
