SETTINGS MENUS OF THE ENCODER
HOST page
Perform the settings on this page when restricting
devices from accessing the encoder by using IP
addresses.
It is possible to restrict access to the encoder by the
"USER AUTHENTICATION" and the "HOST
AUTHENTICATION".
Notes:
Click the [SET] button to save the changed settings.
Otherwise, the changed settings will not be saved.
When using both the "USER AUTHENTICATION"
and the "HOST AUTHENTICATION", access to the
encoder will be restricted as below.
Item Descriptions

HOST AUTHENTICATION

Select "ON" or "OFF" to set whether to apply the host
authentication or not.
However, when using a web browser to perform the
settings, it is necessary to be authenticated
regardless of the "ON" or "OFF" setting.
The default setting is "OFF".
SETUP
Up to 8 hosts can be registered. When a host is
registered, it is displayed in the pull-down menu in
the "DELETE" section on this page.
No host is registered at the default setting.
HOST IP ADDRESS/ SUBNET MASK
Enter the host IP address and the subnet mask of
the devices allowed to access the encoder.
Based on the entered host IP address and subnet
mask, the encoder calculates the valid address
range.
The devices in this range are allowed to access the
encoder.
For example, if "192.168.0.1" is entered for the
"HOST IP ADDRESS" and "255.255.255.0" is
entered for the "SUBNET MASK", the valid range will
be "192.168.0.1" - "192.168.0.255".
The "HOST IP ADDRESS" and the "SUBNET MASK"
can be set in the range of "0.0.0.0" to
"255.255.255.255".
ACCESS LEVEL
Select one of the following for the access level.
1 (ADMINISTRATOR)
It is possible to perform the settings on the settings
pages and operate the encoder using the CGI

2 (CAMERA CONTROL)

settings on the settings pages.
