5. Diagnostics

Loopback Test (Model 8985 Only)

Use the Tests - SHDSL Loopbacks screen to start and stop line loopback tests.

Procedure

To run a SHDSL loopback test:

1.Click on Configure Test(s). The SHDSL Loopback Tests setup screen appears.

2.Select a Slot from the drop-down list.

3.For any port and direction (STUC or STUR), click on the associated Payload Loopback button if you want the loopback to include a data payload.

4.For any port and direction, click in the Start box if you want the entity to be included in the loopback tests.

5.Click on Start Selected. The button changes to Stop Selected.

6.When you have completed testing, click on Stop Selected.
