Setting Up an External Modem

A standard EIA-232-D crossover cable can be used to connect the COM port to an external modem. The external modem must be configured so it is compatible with the FrameSaver unit.

Procedure

To configure an external modem:

1.Connect the crossover cable to the external modem.

2.Enable auto-answer on your modem, and configure it to use the following LSD, DSR, CTS, RTS, and DTR control leads.

See the table below for AT D0 command strings. Use the following command string:
