- Store number of the sender if it is attached to the message,

- Store melody if a melody was sent together with the SMS (see “Downloaded and own melody” page 27),

- Store graphic(s) if one or several graphics and/or animations were sent together with the message,

- Extract a number included in the message itself, if this number is included in double quotes (several numbers can be included and extracted),

- Call the sender of the message (operator-dependent).

Saved Messages

in normal mode or with tin

 

The messages you sent are labelled with

 

auto save SMS mode (see page 51). Select the message you want and press ,

 

to read it. When displayed, press ,to access the options described above in

 

“Received Messages”, including storing the caller’s number.

Clear SMS

 

 

The whole SMS list can be cleared at once: press ,and select Messages, then

Reset

Reset. Press ,again to reset the SMS list.

 

 

L Deleting your SMS list is useful to free memory space in order to store new

 

messages.

This menu allows you to customise your SMS via the options described below.

SMS centre

Allows you to select your default SMS centre. If not available on your SIM

 

SMS centre

card, you must enter your SMS centre number.

Signature

Signature

Allows you to sign your SMS. This signature consists of a series of characters showing your default "Own number". This forms a signature that is transmitted at the end of your message. The length of the message is consequently reduced. You can edit the signature, modify and save it.

Validity period

Allows you to select the length of time your message is to be stored in your

Validity period SMS centre. This is useful when the recipient is not connected to the network (and thus cannot receive your message immediately).
