[Display Panel]
Select a brigh tness level of the fro nt panel display.
• [Normal] - Normal br ightness.
• [Dim] - To dim display.
[Auto Standby]
Turn on or off auto sta ndby mode. It is an en ergy
saving feature.
• [On] - Switch to standby af ter 30 minutes of
inactivity (fo r example, in pause o r stop mode).
• [Off] - D isable auto sta ndby mode.
[VCD PBC]
Turn on or off the content m enu of VCDs/SVCDs
with PBC (playbac k control) feature .
• [On] - Display t he index menu when yo u load
a disc for play.
• [Off] - S kip the menu and s tart play from t he
rst title .

Restrict acce ss to discs that are un suitable for chil dren.
These types of dis cs must be record ed with ratings .
To access, enter your las t set password or ‘0000’.

Rated discs above t he level you set in •[Parental C ontrol]
require a pass word to be played.
The ratings ar e country-d ependent. To all ow all discs to

play, select ‘8’ for DV D-video and B D-Video.
Some discs have ra tings printe d on them but are n ot

recorded with r atings. Thi s function ha s no effect on
such discs.
[Screen Saver]
Turn on or off the scree n saver mode. It helps t o
protect the T V screen from being d amaged due to
over exposure to st atic image for being t oo long.
• [On] - Set the s creen saver acti ve after 10
minutes of inact ivity (for example , in the pause
or stop mode)
• [Off] - D isable screen save r mode.
[Change Password]
Set or change the pas sword.
