One-touch play

1 Pr ess the STANDBY button to turn on t his
product.
The TV (if the TV supports one-touch play) »
automatically turns on and switches to the
correct video-in channel.
If a disc is loaded in this product, disc play »
automatically starts.

One-touch standby

1 Pr ess and hold the STANDBY button on t he
remote control for m ore than 3 seconds.
All the connected devices (if the device »
supports one-touch standby) automatically
switch to standby.

Philips does not gu arantee 100 % interoper ability wit h all
HDMI CEC devices .
5 Play

Play a disc

Caution
Do not place any objec ts other than d iscs into the dis c
compartment.
Do not touch the disc o ptical lens ins ide the disc
compartment.
1 Pr ess to open the disc compartm ent.
2 I nsert a disc wit h its label facing up .
3 Pr ess to close the disc compartme nt and
start disc p lay.
To view disc play, turn on the T V to the
correct viewi ng channel for this pr oduct.
To stop disc play, press .
Note
Check the types of d iscs suppor ted (see “Spec ications”
> “Play media”).
If the password e ntry menu is d isplayed, ente r the
password befor e you can play the lo cked or restr icted
disc (see “Adjust set tings” > “Prefe rence Setup” >
[Parental Cont rol]).
If you pause or stop a d isc, the scree n saver appear s after
10 minutes of inact ivity. To deacti vate the scree n saver,
press any butto n.
After you pause or s top a disc and no bu tton is press ed
within 30 minu tes, this prod uct automat ically switc hes
to standby.

Setup network

To enjoy software updates of this product and BD-
Live bonus contents for certain Blu-ray discs, set up
the network connection.
Note
Ensure that the n etwork cabl e is properly co nnected and
the router is swi tched on.
1 Co nnect this produ ct to the broadban d
modem or router.
2 I n the Home menu, sele ct [Settings] and press
OK.
3 S elect [Advanced Set up], then press .
4 S elect [Networ k], then press OK.
5 S elect [Next] in the menu, then p ress OK.
This product starts to detect if there is a »
connection to the network.
If the connection test fails, select »[Retry]
and press OK to re-connect again to the
network.
6 O nce connected, an I P address is obtain ed
automatically.
If no IP address is ob tained, selec t
[Retry] and press OK to tr y to obtain
the IP address aga in.
7 S elect [Finish] in the menu, the n press OK to
exit.
Note
This product do es not suppor t automatic de tection of an
Ethernet cro ssover cable.
Loading BD-L ive content fro m the internet m ay take
some time, depe nding on the le s ize and the speed of
the internet con nection.

Use Philips EasyLink

This product supports Philips EasyLink which uses the
HDMI CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) protocol.
You can use one single remote control to control
EasyLink-compliant devices that are connected
through HDMI connectors.
Note
To enable the EasyL ink feature, yo u must turn on t he
HDMI CEC opera tions on the T V and on other devi ces
connected to TV. Re fer to the TVs/dev ices manual for
details.
