1Press STOP 9 when playback is stopped or press DISC MENU during playback.

2Press 3 as often as necessary until you reach the first title of the disc menu.

3Press 3 again.

➜The disc info screen appears.

The disc info screen shows

–the name of the disc,

–the TV system of the disc (PAL or NTSC),

–if the disc is write protected (Locked or unlocked)

–if the edits you´ve done on this disc will be available on another DVD player.

Changing the disc name (DVD+R, DVD+RW)

1Select the Settings for menu. See “Settings for a disc”.

2Press 4 or 3 as often as necessary to select the lineDisc name. Next, press 2 to enter the menu.

3Use 1 or 2 to move to the character to be deleted or substituted.

➜ The character is highlighted.

4Use 4 or 3 or the number buttons to select a new character, symbol or number.

0To switch between upper and lower case press SELECT.

0To delete a character press CLEAR.

5Repeat steps 3–4 until the name of the recording is changed as desired.

6Press OK to confirm the new name. ➜ Storing name is displayed.

7Press 1 to end.

Activating or deactivating the write protection

You can prevent a recording on a DVD+RW disc from accidental erasure by protecting it. However, the protection can be activated for the entire disc only. An individual recording cannot be protected. DVD+R discs can be protected the same way as DVD+RW discs as long as they are not finalised.

1Select the Settings for menu. See “Settings for a disc”.

2Press 4 or 3 as often as necessary to select the line Protection.Next, press 2 to enter the menu.

3Press 4 or 3 as often as necessary to select either the line: Unprotected: for deactivating the write protection Protected: for activating the write protection

4Press OK to confirm.

5Press 1 to end.

In the menu Settings for My DVD you can

–change the disc name,

–activate or deactivate the write protection,

–erase a DVD+RW,

–prepare a DVD+R or DVD+RW for playback on another DVD player (Finalise disc or Make edits compatible).
