B-4APPENDIX B: ADVANCED PACE FEATURES

Disable Switch Packet Prioritization

This option disables modification of Ethernet packets used for prioritization of multimedia traffic within 3Com switch products. For example, disabling switch packet prioritization can sometimes alleviate the failure to make a multimedia connection between a PACE-enabled workstation and a non-PACE workstation.

Disabling switch packet prioritization only affects the switch. It does not change the behavior of the PACE driver in any way. High-priority packets are transmitted ahead of most non-PACE packets on the workstation.

Disable Receive Packet Buffering

This option disables the receive packet buffer.
