Conﬁguring DynamicAccess Software

The DynamicAccess feature set optimizes network performance. DynamicAccess software includes PACE Interactive Access technology, dRMON (distributed RMON) support, Efﬁcient Multicast Control, and PACE real-time and multimedia application support.

PACE enhances both real-time, interactive applications and multimedia (data, voice, and video) applications by enhancing network bandwidth utilization, reducing latency, controlling jitter, and supporting multiple trafﬁc priority levels.

When you click Next in the previous section, the DynamicAccess Software Inquiry screen appears, as shown in Figure 3-11.

This screen enables you to identify applications running on your PC that you wish to support using PACE software. Conﬁguring DynamicAccess software is optional.
