Installing TCP/IP Under Windows 95

Installing and configuring TCP/IP is optional. If you want to access the Internet, you must install and configure TCP/IP.

To Not Install TCP/IP

Follow these steps if you do not want to install TCP/IP:

1Select the No radio button.

2Click Next.

Go to the section “Identifying Your PC on the Network” later in this chapter.

To Install TCP/IP

Follow these steps to install and configure TCP/IP:

1Select the Yes radio button.

2Click Next.

The TCP/IP Configuration screen appears, as shown in Figure 3-6. The next step is to configure TCP/IP.
