1 Inserta CD-ROM into the CD loading
slot.
Playbackwill automatically start.
#Besure to turn up the label side of adisc.
#Aftera CD-ROM has been inserted, press
SOURCEto select the built-in CD player.
#Youcan eject a CD-ROM by pressing EJECT.
2 Pressaor bto select a folder.
#Youcannot select a folder that does not have
aWMA/MP3/AAC/WAV file recorded in it.
#Toreturn to folder 01 (ROOT), press and hold
BAND.However, if folder 01 (ROOT) contains no
files,playback commences with folder 02.
3 Toperform fast forward or reverse,
pressand hold cor d.
#Ifyou select ROUGH, pressing and holding c
ordenables you to search every 10 tracks in the
currentfolder. (Refer to Searching every 10 tracks
inthe current folder on page 19.)
4 Toskip back or forward to another
track,press cor d.

!Whenplaying discs with WMA/MP3/AAC/
WAVfiles and audio data (CD-DA) such as
CD-EXTRAand MIXED-MODE CDs, both types
canbe played only by switching mode be-
tweenWMA/MP3/AAC/WAV and CD-DA with
BAND.
!Ifyou have switched between playbackof
WMA/MP3/AAC/WAVfiles and audio data
(CD-DA),playback starts at the first track on
thedisc.
!Thebuilt-in CD player can play back a WMA/
MP3/AAC/WAVfile recorded on CD-ROM.
(Referto page 40 for files that can be played
back.)
!Thereis sometimes a delay between starting
updisc playback and the sound being issued.
Whenbeing read, FORMAT READ is dis-
played.
!Playbackis carried out in order of file number.
Foldersare skipped if they contain no files. (If
folder01 (ROOT) contains no files, playback
commenceswith folder 02.)
