Adjusting loudness

Loudnesscompensates for deficiencies in the
low-and high-sound ranges at low volume.
1 PressAUDIO to select LOUD.
2 Pressato turn loudness on.
Loudnesslevel (e.g., LOUD :MID) appears in
thedisplay.
#Toturn loudness off, press b.
3 Presscor dto select a desired level.
LOW(low)—MID (mid)—HI (high)

Using subwoofer output

Thisunit is equipped with a subwoofer output
whichcan be turned on or off.
1 PressSW to select SUB.W.
#Youcan also select the subwoofer setting
menuby pressing AUDIO on the unit.
2 Pressato turn subwoofer output on.
SUB.W:NORappears in the display. Subwoo-
feroutput is now on.
#Ifthe subwoofer output phase has been set to
thereverse, SUB.W:REV will be displayed.
#Toturn subwoofer output off, press b.
3 Presscor dto select the phase of sub-
wooferoutput.
Presscto select reverse phase and REV ap-
pearsin the display. Press dto select normal
phaseand NOR appears in the display.

Adjusting subwoofer settings

Whenthe subwoofer output is on,you can ad-
justthe cut-off frequency and the output level
ofthe subwoofer.
1 PressSW to select 80: 0.
#Youcan also select the subwoofer setting
menuby pressing AUDIO on the unit.
#Whenthe subwoofer output is on, you can se-
lect80: 0.
#Ifthe subwoofer setting has been previously
adjusted,the frequency of that previously se-
lectedwill be displayed instead of 80.

Onlyfrequencies lower than those in the se-
lectedrange are outputted from the subwoo-
fer.
3 Pressaor bto adjust the output level
ofthe subwoofer.
+6to –24 is displayed as the level is increased
ordecreased.

Using the high pass filter

Whenyou do not want low sounds from the
subwooferoutput frequency range to play
fromthe front or rear speakers, turn on the
HPF(high pass filter). Only frequencies higher
thanthose in the selected range are outputted
fromthe front or rear speakers.
