Using the equalizer
Theequalizer lets you adjust the equalization
tomatch car interior acoustic characteristics
asdesired.
Recalling equalizer curves
Thereare six stored equalizer cur ves which
youcan easily recall at any time. Here is a list
ofthe equalizer curves:

SUPERBASS Superbass
POWERFUL Powerful
NATURAL Natural
VOCAL Vocal
CUSTOM Custom
EQFLAT Flat
!CUSTOMis an adjusted equalizer cur ve
thatyou create. If you make adjustments to
anequalizer curve, the equalizer cur ve set-
tingwill be memorized in CUSTOM.
!WhenEQ FLAT is selected no supplement
orcorrection is made to the sound. This is
usefulto check the effect of the equalizer
curvesby switching alternatively between
EQFLAT and a set equalizer curve.
%PressEQ to select the equalizer.
PressEQ repeatedly to switch between the fol-
lowingequalizers:
SUPERBASS—POWERFUL—NATURAL—
VOCAL—CUSTOM—EQFLAT
Adjusting equalizer curves
Youcan adjust the currently selected equalizer
curvesetting as desired.Adjusted equalizer
curvesettings are memorized inCUSTOM.
1 PressAUDIO to select EQ.
2 Presscor dto select the equalizer
bandto adjust.
EQ-L(low)—EQ-M (mid)—EQ-H (high)
3 Pressaor bto adjust the level of the
equalizerband.
+6to –6is displayed as the level is increased
ordecreased.
#Youcan then select another band and adjust
thelevel.
Note
Ifyou make adjustments, CUSTOM curve is up-
dated.
Fine-adjusting equalizer curve
Youcan adjust the center frequency and the Q
factor(curve characteristics) of each currently
selectedcurve band (EQ-L/EQ-M/EQ-H).

1 PressAUDIO and hold until frequency
andthe Q factor (e.g., F- 80:Q1W) appears
inthe display.
2 PressAUDIO to select the band for ad-
justmentfrom among low, mid and high.
PressAUDIO repeatedly to switch between
thefollowing functions:
Low—Mid—High
3 Presscor dto select the desired fre-
quency.
Low:40—80—100—160 (Hz)
Mid:200—500—1k—2k (Hz)
High:3k—8k—10k—12k (Hz)
