Pausing disc playback
1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select Pause in
thefunction menu.
2 PressMULTI-CONTROL to turn pause
on.
Playbackof the current track pauses.
#Toturn pause off, press MULTI-CONTROL
again.
Using compressionand BMX
Usingthe COMP (compression) and BMX
functionslet you adjust the sound playback
qualityof this unit.
1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select
Compressionin the function menu.
2 PressMULTI-CONTROL to select your fa-
voritesetting.

Searchingevery 10 tracks in thecurrentdisc or folder
Youcan switch the search method between
fastforward/reverse and searching ever y 10
tracks.Selecting Rough search enables you
tosearch every 10 tracks.
1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select
Searchmode in the function menu.
2 PressMULTI-CONTROL to select
Roughsearch.
!FF/REV–Fast forward and reverse
!Roughsearch –Searching every 10 tracks
#Toselect FF/REV, press MULTI-CONTROL
again.
3 PressBAND to return to the playback
display.
4 Pushand hold MULTI-CONTROL left or
rightto search every 10 tracks on a disc
(folder).
#Ifthe rest of track number is lessthan 10,
pushingand holding MULTI-CONTROL recalls
thefirst (last) one.
Using disc title functions
Youcan input CD titles and display the title.
Thenext time you insert a CD for whichyou
haveentered a title, the title of that CD will be
displayed.

Enteringdisc titles

Usethe disc title input feature to store up to
48CD titles in the unit. Each title can be upto
10characters long.
1 Playthe CD that you want to enter a
titlefor.
2 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select
TitleInput"A" in the function menu.
3 PressDISPLAY to select the desired
charactertype.
PressDISPLAY repeatedly to switch between
thefollowing character types:
Alphabet(upper case), numbers and symbols
—Alphabet(lower case)—European letters,
suchas those with accents (e.g. á,à,ä,ç)—
Numbersand symbols
4 PushMULTI-CONTROL up or down to
selecta letter of the alphabet.
5 PushMULTI-CONTROL left or right to
movethe cursor to the previous or next
characterposition.
