XM tuner
Basic Operations
Youcan use this unit to control an XM satellite
digitaltuner (GEX-P920XM), which is sold
separately.
Fordetails concerning operation, refer to the
XMtuner ’s operation manuals. This section
providesinformation on XM operations with
thisunit which differs from that described in
theXM tuner ’s operation manual.
!Withthis unit, you can operate two addi-
tionalfunctions: XM channel direct selec-
tionand preset channel list.

Showswhat channel select setting has been
selected.CH is displayed when
Channelnumber is selected, and CAT is dis-
playedwhen Category is selected.
5XMtext information
Showsthe text information of broadcast
channel.
1 PressSOURCE to select the XM.
2 PressBAND to select an XM band.
PressBAND until the desired XM band is dis-
played,XM-1,XM-2 or XM-3.
3 Toperform tuning, push
MULTI-CONTROLleft or right.
Thechannels move up or down step by step.
Channelsthat cannot currently be selected
areskipped, and the next channel is selected.
#Ifyou push and hold MULTI-CONTROL left or
right,you can increase or decrease channel num-
bercontinuously.
#Youcan also perform tuning from a desired
channelcategory. (Refer to Selecting a channel in
thechannel category on the next page.)
Selecting an XM channel directly
Whenusing the remote control, you can select
theXM channel directly by entering the de-
siredchannel number.
1 PressDIRECT.
Channelnumber input display appears.
2 Press0 to 9 buttons to enter the desired
channelnumber.
#Youcan cancel the input number by pressing
CLEAR.
3 PressDIRECT.
TheXM channel of entered number is
selected.
#Afterentering the number input mode, if you
donot perform an operation within abouteight
seconds,the mode is automatically canceled.
Switching the XM display
%PressDISPLAY to switch the XM display.
Textinformation (channel name)—Artist name
andtext information—Song title and text infor-
mation—Categoryname and textinformation
Storing and recallingbroadcast
stations
Youcan easily store up to six broadcast sta-
tionsfor later recall.
!Upto 18 stations, six for each of threeXM
bandscan be stored in memor y.
1 Whenyou find a station that you want
tostore in memory press LIST.
